At GSI, our staff has been working with and developing applications for GE Smallworld since the mid 1990’s when Smallworld was first introduced in the United States. Since that time we’ve gained valuable experience implementing, customizing and upgrading Smallworld GIS for electric and gas companies. We are proficient in Magik, Object Oriented programming techniques and Smallworld CASE tool modeling for data model development and implementation, all of which are critical to the success of a Smallworld implementation. We’ve provided upgrade services for our customers at all versions of Smallworld GIS, including Smallworld 4 which was recently released to GE customers.
GSI also has extensive experience with Smallworld Internet Application Server development and deployment and has been involved in SIAS implementations that provide web maps to users in large organizations. GSI has developed web based call taking applications, plotting and reporting applications all driven from the SIAS platform, deploying specialized tools to the enterprise without the need for localized software installations or maintenance.
